The process begins with a one-on-one consultation with our managing dramaturge. They will read and respond to the script, giving you feedback you can use to improve the play, resulting in a new draft, and the option to submit the play again for further discussion. Our current response time for one-on-one dramaturgical consultations is four to six weeks.
Members can also apply for workshops with professional actors. These workshops are subject to the availability of funds, and dramaturgical committee approval.
There is a one-time submission fee of $30 for each script submitted. Each script is eligible to receive up to four script services per year.
For more information about script services, the application process, or the script services report, please contact us.
How to submit your script
The submission form must be filled out for each submission, or the submission will be considered incomplete. See the links on this page to our online form, or to download a printable form.
Please tell us what service you are requesting, and how it will aid in the development of your script. If you are unsure which services you need, please let us know.
The dramaturgical committee reads and responds to all submissions asking for a workshop or applying to competitions (with the exception of the Spring Festival of New Plays and the 24 Hour Playwriting Competition.)
