News for August 25, 2016

Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre/Persephone Theatre Playwrights Unit
The selections have been made and we welcome Angela Kemp, Shanda Stefanson, Beverly Brenna and Kenneth T Williams to this season’s unit. This year we will focus more on one on one consultations and fewer weekend retreats. We are looking forward to a very productive year.

Saskatoon Playwrights Circle
The circle is gearing up for season two. All members are welcome and there is no cost. We meet at 7:00 p.m. in room 727 of the Delta Bessborough on the third Monday of every month to read a play out loud and briefly discuss it.

Monday September 19th we will be reading Monday Night by Todd Devonshire. If you would like to be considered for the October reading, or any other, please contact Andrew andrew@saskplaywrights.ca.

Spring Festival 2017 – Saskatoon
The deadline for submissions for the 2017 Spring Festival of New Plays is December 2, 2016. Every year we bring some of the best Directors, Dramaturges and Artistic Directors in the country to work on members’ plays. Watch this space for updates as the deadline approaches. If you want more information, visit our web site – www.saskplaywrights.ca or email Andrew – andrew@saskplaywrights.ca.
